The Department of Social Medicine and Public Health has received funding from the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA) under the prestigious SPINAKER – Intensive International Education Programmes scheme.
The Summer School of Preventive Medicine is designed for medical students from Poland and abroad, with a special focus on participants from Central and Eastern European countries.
The Summer School offers 150 hours of educational activities, focusing on three key areas:
• Prevention of infectious diseases
• Prevention of non-communicable diseases
• Communication with patients and within interdisciplinary healthcare team
Participants who complete the programme and achieve the required learning outcomes will receive official microcredentials issued by the Rector of the Medical University of Warsaw, certifying their competencies in preventive medicine (The Regulations on Microcredentials issued by the Rector, along with their English translation, are available below).

The programme will be delivered at the state-of-the-art Medical Simulation Center, with the active involvement of the experienced teaching staff of the Department of Social Medicine and Public Health.
The Head of the Project is Prof. Aneta Nitsch-Osuch, MD, PhD, Head of the Department and Vice-Dean for Education Quality at the Faculty of Medicine.
This project represents another important step in the internationalization of the Medical University of Warsaw's educational offerings and contributes to the global promotion of preventive medicine.
