The Department of Social Medicine and Public Health has received funding from the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA) under the prestigious SPINAKER – Intensive International Education Programs scheme.
The Summer School of Preventive Medicine is designed for medical students from Poland and abroad, with a special focus on Central and Eastern European countries.
The Summer School will offer 150 hours of educational activities, focusing on three key areas:
- prevention of infectious diseases
- prevention of non-communicable diseases
- communication with patients and within interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
Participants who successfully complete the program and meet the required learning outcomes will receive official microcredentials issued by the Rector of the Medical University of Warsaw, certifying their competencies in preventive medicine.
The program will be delivered at the state-of-the-art Medical Simulation Center, with active involvement of the experienced teaching staff from our Department.
The Head of Project is Prof. Aneta Nitsch-Osuch, MD, PhD, Head of the Department and Vice-Dean for Education Quality at the Faculty of Medicine.
This is another important step in the internationalization of our educational offer and a contribution to the global promotion of preventive medicine.
